Fade ins at main menu

I am working on a photography site which the main page that has a bride standing in front of the ocean. I would like to add motion in the ocean [no pun intended] behind the bride. I have tried to copy part of the pic of the ocean in flash so that i could use some motion tweening but i cannot get the image using the lasso tool. Help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

I think you're going to have to make 2 seperate images in your raster/bitmap editor. Another option would be to use 2 instances of the same image, and mask away what you don't want in one of them.
