What database do you use in flash? I see alot of flash using xml files. Does anyone know any good tutorials on using databases in flash?

Flash doesn't work with databases directly, you'll need to know a "middle man language" so to speak.

Typical program flows,

Flash > PHP > Database > PHP > Flash
Flash > ASP > Database > ASP > Flash

XML is merely the way Flash & PHP/ASP/Ect.. Talk to eachother.
