Flash decompiler

Hi All,

I saw a very good Flash animation in a website, i am wondering is it any De-compiler software that can decompiled the Flash (.swf to .fla) and let me learn how it was created , including the images, music and action scripts. can any one recommend a de-compiler software for Flash?

if the animation is copyrighted you are stealing. keep that in mind.

Flash Decompiller will convert your .swf files to .fla. You can also view the actionscript code if the .swf was created using it.

Yah, thanks for your reminder, actually what i want to learn is the action script, not trying to use the original design and pictures, i think it will not against the copyright.... am i right ?

Is there any way to protect your swfs from being decompiled. I dont know about everyone else but i dont really like the thought of mine being reverse engineered!

bozboz there's nothing that can protect you indefinately. The best you'll get is something that gives your product a slightly longer shelf life.

This is an area where your chances are by default better with something new vs something that's been around awhile because new stuff hasn't had as much time to be worked around.

Password protect it with a strong password. Most people don't password protect their swf's. Shame on them.
