Hi there i'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone can help with a little problem i have with flash.

Well i have a button that should call a exe file but only way i could get it to work is using the

geturl ("setup.exe");

But then it first wants to save and i would like the application to run on release of the button. I also tried the fscommand but doesn't work and have read forums on it also but the geturl ("setup.exe"); is
the only one that works and if anyone can help please so that on release of the button the application will run to install.

code in flash
Code: [ Select ]
on (release) {
    fscommand("exec", "open_jpg.bat");
}
  1. on (release) {
  2.     fscommand("exec", "open_jpg.bat");
  3. }

save file.
create a folder named "fscommand". Inside that folder keep one ".bat" file and the one ".exe" file which u wanna call.

open any notepad file and type these two words "start setup.exe" than save. After that change that notepad file's extension to the ".bat"

U can do this with only ".exe" file not from the swf file. U need to export the projector file.

Hope this works
