Hi i am Cliff, a newbie to the Ozzu forum. I just posted my intoduction to the forum along with my inquiry, but since my inquiry relates to flash, i think i should also include it here. I hope that was the right thing to do.

Anyway, I am starting to build a 3d animated Flash GUI, and am seeking tutorials on how to accomplish the effects I would like. I located a few sites that behave just as I would like mine to. They are: http://www.3ringstudios.com/penetrationtest, http://whatisthematrix.warnerbos.com/, (high bandwidth version) and http://www.partybynight.com

Any help and suggestions for a newbie would be great.javascript:emoticon('')
Embarassed

Thanks, Cliff

well it seems that the first two sites are just using basic bevel filters that you can find in most image editing programs like Photoshop. It's basically faux 3d. in the bacardi site, the only thing that i saw that was "3d" was the swooshing red box, and i think that was a basic shape tween carefully done to look 3d. All of these techniques are easily achieved with a little bit of time and the right programs.
