Is it possible to have a flash file on a page, but if the viewer does not have a flash player then a .jpg be viewed instead? If so how? :?:

A couple of options. When you publish your swf under publish settings, choose the HTML tab and check the box that says Detect Flash version and indicate which version it will look for. It will add the appropriate detection code and download and install the appropriate version. That's the simple way.

But if that doesn't satisfy what you are after, there's a more complex way to do it with SWFObject found here:

Basically the same idea, but you also have option to redirect users without flash to a page of your choice or display a message (or in your case even an image). I've used SWFObject on a couple projects and it works like a charm.

Hope that helps.

I think all websites with flash should have that option.
There are so many people I know that won't dowload flash & the website owners that have flash only, don't get that traffic.
