I published my Flash Movie in an html page and placed them(myFlashExample.html & myFlashMovie.swf) in the web project directory (i.e. MyWebProject\myFlashExample.html).
My Flash movie makes Flash Remoting Calls i.e. NetServices.setDefaultGatewayUrl("http://localhost:7001/MyWebProject/gateway"); etc.
I can access the html page locally i.e. "http://localhost:7001/MyWebProject/myFlashExample.html" WORKS. but if i try to invoke the same URL remotely i.e. from some other machine within the network, it doesnt work. I get the page but not the contents i.e. when the movie loads i make a call to the server to retrieve some data and populate a combo box, the combo box is empty. :?
I would really appreciate if some one could help me out here.

Flash doesn't allow information to be loaded from a file on another server since this is a security risk.

Plus you shouldn't be using localhost anyway, since that searches for the viewers locally installed server, so if you were to get this to work, it would only work on your machine.

Enough babbling, I don't work with server-side flash much (or at all), but I think the solution (or a point in the right direction hopefully) would be something called allowDomain() in actionscript (it's undocumented).

I could be wrong though.
