Hello eveyone, from a Music Player picture that a friend gave me , I made something so when you click the play button it would play a music, but, it has a problem, example if I hit the play buttom a 100 times the music will start a 100 times.

Here is the link to the Music Player:

http://cuba2004.50free.org/Help.htm

click in the buttom several times and you see what I mean.

Now here is my question:
Is there any way you can help me make it so that when I click once it will start playing and even if I hit it 100 times more after that the music wont start playing.

Hrrmmm, no clue. I knew how to help you, up until you said "swishMax", then I had no clue.

In Flash it would be done via the Sound() Object.

Perhaps swishMax has something similar to this?

(how to use the Sound() Object in Flash MX http://www.kennybellew.com )

Thanlk you lostinbeta for your reply...
about the tutorial I thinks is really close to swishmax, example codes like
on (press) { _root.mc01.mc02.firstSound.start(); I see it on swishmax, so it shouldnt be a problem. I'll see if I can fix this problem, I'll let you know, when Im done.

Again thank you very much.

Easy...All you have to do is have a variable, lets call it: playing. And when you click start, it will make sure playing is false before it starts the song, if playing is false, it will make playing true, then play the song and you can no longer have multiple instances of the song running. When you click stop, make playing false so you can start again.
