Ok What I want to do is have a flash thingo open like a small bar from the top and to stretch out till its a box.

How would I have it put text from another file in there?

I was thinking to put a dynamic text field of the appropriate size and add a ServerSideinclude but I that obviously didnt work...

My friend (lost his screename and don't know where to find him..lol) used to make flash sites like that to where if you wanted to change the news you'd only have to edit a *.txt file containing it.

I would like to know how to do that?

Thanks. :)

one more problem

When I have the motion tween for my box that is about 5px high and 380px wide, when I try to scale it taller at the end of the tween, the black outline on it gets ALOT bigger too...

trying to get my box to start small and the bottom kind of fall if you know what i mean...

Sounds like your lines are not set as hairline. Select your lines and open the properties panel then choose "hairline" in the drop down menu for size. This causes the line to stay at 1px no matter what the scale. Otherwise the line will scale in size.

Your on the right track FrostByt3( Dynamic text field, give it a variable name.) Fame action: loadVariables ("import.txt", "/");
done.
