I can sucessfully load an flv file into the flv player in flash through xml. the path to the flv file is in a childnode and is launched when u click a button. The problem i am having is that the controls dont display on the player. Looking at the parameters of the flv player component i cant seem to see anything that might be disabling the player controls. Any help would be appreciated.

here is the code on the button:

//test1 is the instance of player
//cotentPath is the variable in player
//vid is the name of the tag in the xml file that holds the path to the flv file

on(release){
_root.test1.contentPath = vid;
}

here is the xml code:

<MovieClips>
<MovieClip>
<vid>customClasses.flv</vid>
</MovieClip>
</MovieClips>

Which version. Flash MX or Flash 8 or 9 Pro? I think the version difference may help people assist you better.

Were you able to determine what the problem was? It might be helpful for others to know for future users with the same problem if you posted how it was resolved.
