Get IP. track location. get items

is it possible for a flash file to remember a persons ip address from a last visit and display settings based on there location like: weather: news... etc? through flash?

well... Flash can remember data, but it might be just as easy to get the IP address location each time. (people change computers, etc) Anyway to get the IP address I assume you'd need to use a serverside language and then pass that location to flash.

I display the local weather inside of flash at continentalski.com (little tab on the right of the flash) but its based on a specific location. I'm not sure about the best way to do that if the location is dynamic...
