I'm sorta new to flash.

Where can I learn how to do intermediate to adavanced flash?
Ive already got the basics down in flash, and how to do basic action scripting. Very basic! like beginner stuff. I'm having trouble finding sites or a good book that will show me techniques and tricks in flash. Like how you make objects interact with your mouse...

Please point me in a direction or recommend a book that might have helped you.

thanks

If your looking for a book, there is one out by the joint creator of AS:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/059600 ... e&n=283155

His first version of that for AS1.0 was known by alot of people as the AS bible, therefore, this AS2.o version is basicaly the new bible.

There isnt really alot of basic information, it throws you straight in and gets your hands dirty instantly [ which is what I like about this book ].

As for using Flash itself, there is a great book which I have read through :

Flash Pro

Again, no fannying around with basic ideas, just plain old hard core programming.

Website wise, one I keep going back to is Kirupa.com. Lots of lovely links on there about Flash and there is also a Forum dedicated to everything Flash aswell.

There are a few other online resources such as :

http://www.flashkit.com
http://www.actionscripts.org

Hope that helps.

1 more question.

Which book do you recommend reading first? Actionscrpting 2.0 Essentials or that Flash Pro 8 book?

I have the basics of flash down, like motion/shape tweening, drawing 2-d graphics, and creating objects/buttons/movie clips.

The Flash Pro 8 book will basicly go over what you alread know then so I would suggest the AS2.0 book which doesn't deal with drawing at all, just creating tweens and other stuff using just AS.
