Help needed for including a magnifying glass in PageFlip

I'm working on an online catalogue and I need to include a Magnifying tool in a clip contained in pageflip 2.2.
The magnifying tool works ok on an independant clip, but doesn't work anymore when I include it in a clip used by pageflip.
Has anyone got a clue why it's not working?
It's a weird free version of pageflip, some of the components may be missing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, since I can get employed if I prove my efficiency.
