Hello!

i'm usually able to resolve problems such as this... but this one.....oohhh it just pisses me off!! desperately need some help here!!!

1. is it possible to have both myMC.onRollOver & myMC.onRollOut do the same function....that's for part of menu that stays the same after clicking on the link.....when i put them together...of course it listens just to the last statement !

2. the main problem i have is this:

on each item in the menu i've put code like this:

Code: [ Select ]
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
    stoY = _root.sto._y;
    difstoY = stoY-_root.stoY;
    setProperty(_root.sto, _y, stoY-(difstoY/5));
}
  1. onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
  2.     stoY = _root.sto._y;
  3.     difstoY = stoY-_root.stoY;
  4.     setProperty(_root.sto, _y, stoY-(difstoY/5));
  5. }

so i can work with their position when i need to move them...
on the frames that trigger that kind of movement i've put:

Code: [ Select ]
this.onEnterFrame = function() {
    _root.stoY = 82;
        _root.sto1Y = 145; ...
}
  1. this.onEnterFrame = function() {
  2.     _root.stoY = 82;
  3.         _root.sto1Y = 145; ...
  4. }

first time i press any of the links that trigger movements it works as it should!!!
next time i press any of the links, sometimes only few move, and of course sometimes nothing happens! :tempertandrum:

thanks guys

hey all!!

i'm having some problems now with attaching .swf-s to one another

the situation is::

i have main 1.swf and other .swf-s are loaded into that one.

now i have one, lets call it 2.swf, that i have to load to main 1.swf that consists of two other .swf-s (A & B) .....these two have coordinates A(0,0) and B(265,0)

it's all working with the LocalConnection command except that the movie that should be on(265,0) goes to(0,0) and the (0,0) is not even visible!

any clues?????

now i did set up Property correct, and as i play 2.swf everything looks as it should, but if i load 2. one into the 1. one what i explained happens!!

any thought would be helpful...... :idea:

one possibility is that you're executing the setProperty command before the (265,0) clip is finished loading in...

i don't completely understand what's going on, though...
you've got 1.swf, 2a.swf and 2b.swf?
2a loads into 0,0 and 2b loads into 265,0?

if that's right, what i would do is either set up some script to check if the loading swfs are done loading and then execute the setProperty command or... put the setProperty command on the 2b.swf (right at the beggining have it say
Code: [ Select ]
_root.2b.setProperty...
i'm not sure how you're loading them in, though, and what their instance names are or anything... so more info'd help us help you, but...

yeah...

hope this is useful...

peace out

i have to be honest...i made a mess here (even i have problem understanding what is the problem??? ) heh

maybe to start thinkink from the begining.....

main.swf is the one that everything is loaded to

after clicking on the portfolio link i have to load in the portfolio.swf that has bunch of little pictures

loadMovie('portfolio.swf', _root.portfolioMC);

and clicking on one of them should trigger opening larger image and a textBox with more info(that's what i put in seperate swf-s aswell)

now how to conect them

LocalConnection works, but obviously something is crossing over and seems to me that this way of doing it is not 'clean'

how would you put all that together???

thanks

hey ya all!!!

can someone tell me is it posible to have .xml script such as this one below and than make flash call just parts of the code when needed?

Code: [ Select ]
<gallery timer="5" order="sequential" fadetime="2" looping="yes" xpos="0" ypos="0">
<image path="proba/1.jpg" />
<image path="proba/2.jpg" />
<image path="proba/3.jpg" />
<image path="proba/4.jpg" />
<image path="proba/5.jpg" />
</gallery>
  1. <gallery timer="5" order="sequential" fadetime="2" looping="yes" xpos="0" ypos="0">
  2. <image path="proba/1.jpg" />
  3. <image path="proba/2.jpg" />
  4. <image path="proba/3.jpg" />
  5. <image path="proba/4.jpg" />
  6. <image path="proba/5.jpg" />
  7. </gallery>

for now i've made this code and when i call it from flash it works good!
but if i do one more .xml with diferent pictures and when clicking on the next button that's supposed to open it, it starts with the first picture and then goes back to the previous slide show..... :shock:

check out the site i made::::
