i have a hit test problem

see swf: http://www.starvingeyes.com/flash/hittestproblem.swf

see fla: http://www.starvingeyes.com/flash/hittestproblem.fla

i want to use the hittest where you specify the coordinate, not the bounding box (x, y, true) - when i use this code on the main timeline, it works fine, but when i put it in its own movie clip it works as the bounding box format. what am i doing wrong here? how do i get the one on the left to work like the one on the right?

thank you, please help!

Edit the mC holding bkg & en so that the bkg isn't on a negative _x position & en is about _x=163.

The negative cords are throwing off the numbers.
