Hi there

I am new to flash and can get by better on DreamWeaver.

What i want to do is make a Flash Menu/Navigation system that pulls in HTML pages under....is this possible?

I've tried looking all over the web but cant seem to get any answer I could understand.... I hope you can help me?

An example site of what i want to do is http://gandinnovations.com/index.htm

I've been searching for about 2 weeks now and cant find an answer - can you give me one I can understand please?

I've tried the following on the buttons actionscript...

Code: [ Select ]
on (release) {
getURL("http://www.myfile.com","frame");
}
  1. on (release) {
  2. getURL("http://www.myfile.com","frame");
  3. }

and then in html I put this...

Code: [ Select ]
<iframe src="page.html" name="frame" width="600" height="400" frameborder="0"></iframe>

In Flash when I "Test Movie" and I click the button it opens up a new document with the URL but when I click the same button inserted in the html page it does nothing?

Can you help me please?

Regards - Christopher

I wish I could help you. But instead I have another question: What would you do if you want to link to a specific page of that website? Each time I click on a button a new information showed up on the bottom, but the page was still on http://gandinnovations.com/index.htm . It looks cool but is it really helpful. And how would it work with SEO? I'm a newbie so maybe I'm missing something, but it seems like this would be more harmful in the end then it's worth. And if that is the only nav you have what about people that don't have the Flash plug-in? I tried to look one of my sites the other day on my friends I-phone and I couldn't see any of my Flash navigation. Just a thought. Good luck.
