How do i change the arrangement of a button through actionsc

i am making a photo gallery and i want all these overlayed buttons to animate in the screen but when one button under another does then part of it can't be seen so before the button animates i need it to change its arrangement to the top before it does.

yep thats it need each button to come to the front and then return to its original posistion after the animation is over.

so not to sure if that can only be done in actionscript or maybe another function i dont know about.

You should post your example. It sounds like you're asking to do one thing, but perhaps theres a much simpler way that you haven't consider that we could help you with.

If you really want to swap layers with actionscript use:
mClip1.swapDepths(mClip2);
