Hi,

I have a quicktime movie that I have imported into Flash as a "Progressive download from web server" and is now is on the stage as a .FLV file (only takes up one frame).

My quesion is how do I control this flv file using the buttons I have created? For instance, when I press the "Home" button I want it to play the flv video (or ideally particular frames of this video) then load the home page. Is this even possible? Is it possible to play the video backwards?

At the moment when I test the flash file the flv video just starts playing immediately.

Thanks, Ben. :)

If it's a .flv then it means it's streamed, so i don't think you can play it backwards. You can play/pause/restart play/jump to a certain time, just like for a youtube movie (which are .flv as well)
But if you import it to flash and create a .swf file from it, then you could play it backwards or jump to a certain frame. I don't know about the sound though, but i think it will not be played if you try to play the swf backwards.
