How many differnt .swf do you use in your websites?

Hi, this is my first timr posting (obviously :roll: ) and my question is this, I have been to unflux.com and Its very well done BTW, anyway I am currently building a flash site and I was wondering how many differnt swfs u generly use in a website. So do u use loadmivie alot? or is all jumping frm frame to frame or scene to scene? what is the best way to do this? Thanks for you Help!

Try to stay away from scenes. loadMovie() with external movies is the way to go because you can load and preload only content that the viewer wants to see, if you organize all your content in frames and scenes you are going to have a bloated high file size, hard to manage file. And chances are the viewer will end up having to wait for things to load that they will never even bother looking at.


As for the amount of different .swf files, it varies depending on your content. Some people do 1 .swf per section, some people do .swf per "panel".

It's up to you to sort out which method would be best for you :)
