How much do Flash designers charge their clients?

I want to know this cos I am thinking of learning more Flash (instead of ASP).

Advice?

as always, this question is left up for discussion. you have to decide
how much your skill, experience, and time is worth. Personally, I won't
reveal how much I charge, but some developers charge upwards of
$175/hr or more, some much less of course.

Like anything else when charging for services, what you have to figure
out is where you fit on that spectrum.

Pretty much what unflux said..... plus you have to figure out what the project involves. If the project involves some server-side flash then you can charge extra because it requires you to write a server side script, and then write the actionscript to communicate with it, but if the project is just an animation, the price would be negotiated differently.

Depends really on what the project is and how much time and effort your putting into it...

Also depends on if its a corporate client or an individual. On average i hear that freelance web rates are around $80 an hour. but as mentioned above if you have server side work then the price goes up. I suggest going to a bookstore and look for a book called Handbook to Everything an Artst needs (or something like that) it has current freelance rates for pretty much all web services also you might want to check a salary web site. They usually have VERY current rates
