How to save the flash doodle drawing ?

Hello,everyone。

I need to know how to save the drawing of the user in a flash doodle on the server.What kinds of technic is needed?

It sounds like you've already got something built to handle the front side drawing. It's a little funny because I consider the front side code the tricky part ;-).

How to save on the server depends on what kind of server you're running. If you're running php, you would do well to look into: amfPHP and SWX . Both of these offer very streamlined ways of writing and reading data from the server. They operate somewhat that you create an object in flash and when you pass it to the server and the server receives that object exactly the way it left flash & vis versa the other direction.

Now how to store the data on the server I'd recommend SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics). Its widely supported XML format for saving vectors shapes. Here is an example of an SVG--look at the source code. This also has the advantage that you could for instance turn the SVG into a JPG on the server, as there are likely plenty of conversion libraries available.

And something much easier, here is an example with source code which stores the flash drawing in a user cookie.

At last i save the drawing info in an array and save the array in the server side .:)
