Hi,

I would like to have 12 dynamic textboxes in my movie which will hold a short discription of a picture. When the user clicks on a button i would like all the textboxes to load the values into them.

I'm currently using this code to load text,

loadVariablesNum("_supporting/_txtfiles/ibiza.txt",1);

----ibiza.txt----
description1=gor! what a stunner!
description2=and a minger too...

Just an example above,

I have set variable names for all the textboxes, how do i load the text into them? With the code above only the first textbox is filled.

Cheers
Tosh

Check out the LoadVars() object in the Actionscript Reference in Flash.

That is what you are looking for :)

:shock: Thanx but i checked into that,

The problem is that all the text goes in to the first textbox evening if I have another "blah="

so do i need to put some form of stop symbol or code at the end of the text to be imported?

Cheers

The "&" symbol signifies a new variable in a text file.

var1=blah&var2=blee&var3=bloo
