It took me over a year to learn flash effectively. I guess you
better get started, eh?

I would also recommend starting with the onboard tutorials
that come with flash, they are excellent. And once you've got
some basics down, you can visit these sites and learn some
more advanced things.

The help files in Flash are a great place to learn for beginners. The tutorials it comes with are useful for the basics, and the information contained in the help files is actually helpful (anyone else get tired of seeing not-so-helpful help files in programs?)

Flash takes a long time to learn. The main things you need are practice, patience, experimentation, reading a lot, and more patience.

If one person would be able to teach you how to use Flash, my guess is they would charge for tutoring ;)
