Post 3+ Months Ago

Hey all, I've got a question for the 3D animators among us :D

I am trying to make a logo for my website, and figured 'Hey, why not stumble into the world of 3D designing?' Should be easy, right? lol

Basically what I want is some text to rotate just like this example I've found: http://www.showyoursound.nl/Images2/showyoursoundlogo2.swf

I just want the letters "IT" to rotate.. So.. my question now is;

Is it possible to convert text to 3d easily and make it rotate, or do you have to create the graphics for the 3d letters yourself and have the graphics (which look like the letters I and T) rotate?

I've tried to find my way abit in 3dFlashAnimator 4 but can't seem to get it to make my text rotate the way I want it (It rotates around the Y axis but I want it to rotate around the X-axis I believe.. Ah well, better to check the example link I posted above)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I understand that 3d is far too complicated to explain here in one reply, so I'll setle for a small nudge in the right direction for now hehe. Thanks

anyway your proble is very hard to fined the solution since it is 3d. but best solution on it you must make first the letter IT or I and T in 3D software before you can import it on flash... or if you want it make in flash using there tools maybe its hard but you can do it manually. :)
