Making things move!

Hello, I am making a standard HTML website with a flash intro...
So I have the HTML down, but flash or anything "moving" has me totally stumped.
Ive read a lot of tutorials and I have had so many different suggestions that I feel a little dizzy.
Soo... I want the site to look cool and up to date but I don't want to cause problems for my members while signing in.
What I intend to do is make my sign in page interactive. A moving globe in the middle that rotates and somewhere to sign in.
Need some more advice lol
