I think this:
2 movieclips:
- movieclip1:
:: - different frames for every state of the car
:: - it stops at every frame unless it's playing
:: > example: if (playing!=true) stop();
- movieclip2:
:: the same as movieclip1, only these states are of the wireframe mode

when you press wire, it changes between those 2 movieclips
rotate to the left goes 1 frame back, and to the right goes 1 frame forward

Yep, I think Stefs got it, but I have a different theory on the frames.

While they rendered each angle in a 3D program and imported each image into Flash on a different frame, I don't think they have it stop on every frame by using an if statement.

I believe they use the nextFrame() and prevFrame() functions.

this.nextFrame() is the same as this.gotoAndStop(this._currentframe+)

this.prevFrame() is the same as this.gotoAndStop(this._currentframe-1)

And when they want it to play, they just call
