MovieClip as a Button. Make it navi. to a Certain Frame???

MovieClip as a Button. Make it move to a Certain Frame???

I made a MovieClip "Button" (Stupid me) and i need to be able to Click on it and have the Movie navigate/ Direct to another frame.

I have tried instancenameofMovieClip.onRelease.gotoAndStop ();
I kind of remember this thing about _on, _down, _over as a layer within the movieClip "button" on a separate layer you make like key frames... i don't know any help will be greatly appreciated!

im stuck and Bum'd out I have made such progress on my site today and IM STUCK.. if its not possible to do this Please let me know ASAP> i greatly appreciate anyone taking the time to help.
