hi,

I was wondering is it possible to jump to a frame which is behind the current one without going to the end of the sequence and through the frames before it?

umm.. that doesn't sound very understandable...

example:

I'm in frame 125

and there's a button with

Code: [ Select ]
on (release){
gotoAndPlay("75");
}
  1. on (release){
  2. gotoAndPlay("75");
  3. }

once clicked, it takes me to frame 75 but it plays all the frames after 125 and all the frames before 75 before it gets to 75, is there a way to go to 75 directly?

thanks

try this:

Code: [ Select ]
on (release){
gotoAndPlay(75);
}
  1. on (release){
  2. gotoAndPlay(75);
  3. }

You're quoting 75, so Flash thinks it a frame label. I would guess Flash doesn't know what to do (because there's no frame labeled "75"), so it just plays.

Swapping quote/nonquote is a common mistake, everyone does it once in awhile :wink:
