Post 3+ Months Ago

Hello,
I posted once before with no responses and I'm hoping someone out there can help me. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
I'm new to Flash, I'm using MX 2004, and I'm having a problem with buttons. I've read past posts and nothing has answered my question. I'm currently using Flash to make a .exe to autorun for a CDRom project...works like a charm. I'm lauching Powerpoint slide shows from the flash projector file and one url. However I can't seem to get any of the buttons to activate the batch files or url I've created. I mean when I run the projector file I created, the buttons change color when I click the mouse, but I can't seem to get the files to open or even the url link to work. I'm using---
on (release) {
fscommand ("exec", "actpps.bat");
}

for my batch files. Is there something I need to add to this to make the buttons engage? I know I'm actually placing the code on the button itself...which seems to be most of the problems I've read here before. I've tested the batch file and it's fine. The url script I'm using is ---
on (release) {
getURL("http://www.nbc.com", "_blank");
}

I know there must be something I'm missing with this because this code by itself does nothing, but again, I'm new to this.
Help would be wonderful cause this is getting to me now.
Thanks.

Thanks roarmeow,

I discovered the problem. It is necessary to create a folder called "fscommand" and store any exec/bat files that you want to launch in there before fscommand will work. Once I did that---problem solved.

thanks
