Need Help! Component / function problem.... Need Help!

Hello everyone,

I am trying to do this since 5 Days and you are my last chance. I saw one of your post in Flashkit Forum and I was wondering
if you have time to help me. I'm relatively new to actionscript complex method... My problem is the following:

I made a component (dynamic text). An occurence of this component
as been put in a movie clip. When I clic on it I would like to run a function placed in a parent movie clip (alessioBeta) Naturally I have a value _parent.alessioBeta in the component occurence. When i click on it, i get the value _parent.alessioBeta in the Output window but the function doesn't start.

What should i do in order to run this function.

Are you using the eventHandler() function?
