Hi, I have been trying with no success for the last few days to make a web site banner that loads .jpgs from the same file as the .swf, I have read quite litureally hundreds of tuts and forums posts but none seem to get exactly what im after :(

It seems to be pretty simple, but i just cant nail it!.

The problem is:

I have a banner 500x80pix,
I have a movie clip box which sits of to the right hand side of the banner and motion tweens to the left.
All i would like it to do is load a new picture into the movie clip each time it renders and i would like it to do it with out needing a play button or next button.
This is where im have the problem... I have read many articles about photo album setup and slide show setup but all these seem to be to complicated for what im tring to do.

Any Help would be great,

P.s. I also spent quite a bit of time searching these forums but there are thousands of posts :( So if any one knows of a post with this exact problem please point it out. Sorry for the hassle.

you could try externally loading your images.

just take the movieclip you wish to load the image into, and make it the size of the image, make sure the movieclip registration point is the top left corner.

then put this clip on the root where the clip is located:

movieclipname.loadMovie("picturehere.jpg");

if you want to do it another way, let me know. I can explain how to do that instead, or at least try to :)

Enigma: Basic principles indeed, but the most scripting i have done is the goto command... Give me a picture and i can do... Give me code and i fall over. It seems to be a simple thing, but for me its one big long nightmare.

Did I give you the link or did I forget ?

http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/photogallery.htm

All the code is explained in easy to follow steps.

It uses the principles you are looking for such as getting the image from a folder etc.

Enigma: Phew, I though you were being criptic on me :) That makes a lot more sence then before :)
It did go along way to help, But it's still not quiite how i want it to work :(
But its as close as ive been so far.
After i have done the tut 2 or 3 more times, hopefully the cogs will start to fall into place in my head.

Thanks heaps for your help Solaris and Enigma :)

P.s, It's nice to find a tight community once in a while also, Keep up the great work :)
