Preloader and embedded fonts aren't working well together

I embedded a font, and now my preloader starts late. I read up on switching class loading to another frame, tried toggling off "export on first frame", and a couple other cheap methods. Nothing seems to load my preloader first.

Has anyone had success embedding font while keeping the preloader the first thing that loads on startup?

Thanks

If the text in the preloader is the font face that you embedded... of course it's gonna load late ! In order to display the text, it has to load the embedded characters. The only way to keep the prealoder as small as possible is to use device fonts.

I know that I should use a device font to reduce size, but for this project I can't, I must remain consistancy. However, I am not using a device font for the preloader.

So one of the fonts being embeded is being used in the preloader correct ?

There's nothing you can do short of making sure only the needed chars are embeded.
