I have a serious problem that can not resolve and the time I got on top.

I am doing a page in Flash and I wanted to open a window in which deployed some paragraphs of text that previously were already saved and stored in a MySQL database, where the user can select between the text and with the click of a button and is being marked in bold and when I select in every paragraph of clicking a button and save everything, so that the user enters again these paragraphs appear again but with the text in bold you select.

Someone can help me about it, I try in many ways and makes me poor marking or more to save and not save either or incomplete.

I am using Flash MX and ActionScript2.

Greetings and thanks in advance.

Do you have an example where you can show what is happening so that members can understand your problem better?

Create a label for the second frame in your scene 2 movieclip and call it label1.

Then on scene one create a function such as this:

Code: [ Select ]
function jump () {
gotoAndPlay ("Scene 2", "label1");
}
  1. function jump () {
  2. gotoAndPlay ("Scene 2", "label1");
  3. }

Then use this action for your button
Code: [ Select ]
on (release){
_level0.jump();
}
  1. on (release){
  2. _level0.jump();
  3. }

That should accomplish what you want.

try _root.jump() then for the button. The function also assumes Scene 2 is named Scene 2

OK here is the working FLA
http://www.alaron-nuclear.com/ozzu/Scene_testing2.fla (right click and "save as")

Basically what I did:
Scene 1 Frame 1 Actions -- removed everything except the stop(); action
myButton instance -- removed what you had and replaced it with this:
on (release) {
gotoAndStop("mymc");
}

Scene 2 -- I edited the animatedtxt_mc instance. I removed the first frame entirely since all it was was a stop action and removed the label.

That's what it took to get it to work. After a bit of reading around, Flash just is quirky with gotoAndPlay when jumping to other scenes, and it completely didn't want to go to a label inside a movieclip in another scene.

If you want to take the time to download it I threw together a quick video tutorial that shows everything I did. (Sorry the file size is so large - 150MB - I tried to condense it to an FLV but the quality went to crap)

http://www.alaron-nuclear.com/ozzu/Scene_testing2.avi (I'd save this first rather than try to open it because it's so large).
