why is netscape 7 not unloading a movie when I tell it to? After it's
loaded, it won't go away even tho I've told it to.

Here's what my button has on it:

Code: [ Select ]
on (release) {
  unloadMovieNum(1);
  unloadMovieNum(2);
  unloadMovieNum(3);
  unloadMovieNum(4);
  unloadMovieNum(10);
  unloadMovieNum(20);
  unloadMovieNum(30);
  unloadMovieNum(40);
  unloadMovieNum(66);
  loadMovieNum("contact_bg.swf", 4);
}
  1. on (release) {
  2.   unloadMovieNum(1);
  3.   unloadMovieNum(2);
  4.   unloadMovieNum(3);
  5.   unloadMovieNum(4);
  6.   unloadMovieNum(10);
  7.   unloadMovieNum(20);
  8.   unloadMovieNum(30);
  9.   unloadMovieNum(40);
  10.   unloadMovieNum(66);
  11.   loadMovieNum("contact_bg.swf", 4);
  12. }

Only unloadMovieNum(66); isn't working and it's driving me crazy.
Everything else between IE and NS works perfectly.

Is there a different way to do this that netscape would work
properly? Or am I missing something here...

First just wondering, if you have upgraded to Netscape 7.2? Netscape 7.1 seems to have a few issues with flash. I was having a problem with transparency and flash but they just resolved it in 7.2 and now all my problems are gone! Anyway you might try upgrading first and see if you still have the problem.

Funny I should happen upon this forum. I just installed the flash 7 player on my mac, and and now NO flash files play in the netscape browser (7.2). IE for MAC and SAFARI are both working fine.

Anybody no of some little trick or bug here?

Well I think it's good to see that at least someone goes digging through the archives instead of posting a new topic.
