I have a movie that read text from XML. I Saved the flash movie at the root of my site along with the xml file. I define in the flash movie:
regiondata.load("regions.xml");
It is run locally good(read from xml) however when I upload it on the server it doesnt read.
Any idea????

Thanks:(

Have you tried an absolute URL as opposed to a relative one?

Try saving this (change the URLs to reflect yours) as "crossdomain.xml" in the sites root folder after reading this, http://www.moock.org/asdg/technotes/cro ... licyFiles/

Code: [ Select ]
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM "http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
<cross-domain-policy>
 <allow-access-from domain="www.yoursite.com" />
 <allow-access-from domain="yoursite.com" />
</cross-domain-policy>
  1. <?xml version="1.0"?>
  2. <!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM "http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
  3. <cross-domain-policy>
  4.  <allow-access-from domain="www.yoursite.com" />
  5.  <allow-access-from domain="yoursite.com" />
  6. </cross-domain-policy>
