I was wondering if anyone knew a solution to this:

I have a swf (child.swf) that holds different images. That child is then placed in other 'shell' swfs (parent.swf). When loaded from clip.loadMovie("child.swf"); the LoadVars() function in the child.swf fails to load. When I load child.swf alone it works perfectly fine.

In short what I'm looking for is a way to load the variables in parent.swf and then send them to child.swf. I've tried many methods but cannot find one that will work. Please help. :3

usually when you load external swf's * as far as i remember u gotta lock the root so it does'nt confuse with the paths otherwise give it a full path

e.g

_root.holder.X

u can always refer to the online livedocs by macromedia its really good ..

ohh man, are you trying to get like 20 posts/day?
if you do, at least try not to spam, other people may look on these topics and will see your posts and will probably wonder what are your post got to do with the questions. Honestly now, this section is not for sharing opinions about other people posts .... if you want such thing then i sugest you to use other sections of this forum or another forum.
