OK guys here is my prob. On my website i am using loadmovie to load a email form into my main movie. The onClipevent tells the form to go to the next frame when the send button is pressed. However, when it does so, it send MY WHOLE SITE forward. how do i make just the loaded email form move foward one frame and not everything?

Quote:
onClipEvent(data){
_root.nextFrame();
}

That is the onClipEvent data assigned to the form.

HELP HELP HELP!!! :cry:

if the button is in the mail form movie, use "this" instead of "_root."

What you're doing, is starting the command from the main timeline, not the form clip itself.

our buddy lostinbeta would say:

Quote:
this = current timeline
_root = first timeline in hierarchy
_parent = 1 timeline up in the hierarchy from current timeline

ok then my help isn't any help at all, except good info for you in the future. :)

as for your current problem, you will need to simply call the main timeline, then the clip you loaded the form into, then your next frame bit.

something like:
PHP Code: [ Select ]
onClipEvent(data){

_root.containerClip.nextFrame();

}
  1. onClipEvent(data){
  2.
  3. _root.containerClip.nextFrame();
  4.
  5. }

of course, I don't really know what your script and form is actually doing, but this should help you.

For all the newbies reading this thread, what I did was i made the email form and send button one movie clip. Then i inserted it into my loaded movie. It worked fine after that.
