I'm trying to access the 'message' property of an Alert component during/after createobjectclass call but it just doesn't want to happen...

Also, i'm looking for a bit more comprehensive/readable Flash object model reference, has anyone been busy ?

thanks, that's a great site...

but i can't believe there's no way of setting a (main) property of a built-in component at runtime.

You can change things in the "built in" components but it's REALLY easy to break them if you don't reflect the changes throughout the entire component. (it's actually easier to build your own from scratch)

Look through "core assets devolopers only" folder in your library when you drag a component onot the stage, try editing the movieclips & looking at their actions.

Once you know what Object.registerClass/ #initclip & classes are all about and you look through the expert mode actions library they don't seem so "built in" other than syntax highlighting
