Code: [ Select ]

target.loadMovie("image.jpg");

  1.
  2.
  3. target.loadMovie("image.jpg");
  4.
  5.

Now, I would like to SMOOTH this image.
Since it does not appear in the library. I don`t know how.

Is this possible?

p.s. I`m using AS2.

Thanks

are you scaling the image in flash? If not simply open up the image in photoshop and do what you need to do. Flash shouldn't be altering the image at all.

Also make sure that your quality setting is high or best in your publish settings.

I assume the problem has to do with image compression or a bad source image since I've never seen Flash display an external image incorrectly. The only other option that I can think of is that you are scaling the image (or the target movieclip before you load the image) and that scale is not proportionate.

As graphixboy pointed, you should check your source image and make sure if it's saved with an RGB color profile and non-progressive JPG. I ran over a similar case recently, flash has problems rendering JPG's other than that format.
But if what you want is blurring the image, you could do that with flash built-in filters.

If you can be more specific about your problem ...
