can i change the volume of a sound at a certain point if i have not created that sound dynamically?

in AS2 you could have : var songOneSound:Sound = new Sound(soundOne)
where soundOne is the movie clip containing the sound

it doesnt seem to work with AS3 though.

Forgive me for not providing a good example. I didn't research this much, but I think you can do what you want in AS3 with soundTransform. Read up on that a bit

But yes I believe the sound DOES HAVE TO BE dynamic for the sound transform to work.
