I have had this problem times before, and was wondering if anyone knew how to slow the sounds down to normal speed?

I can honestly say, that in all my experience with flash, I have never had
this happen.

what is it doing exactly? simply playing all the sounds at a higher speed
than they should be? I'm seriously baffled...

can you post the .fla?

I can honestly say this has never happened to me as well

I don't know the answer to your question since I don't work much with sounds in Flash, but at this following link you can find anything and everything about the Sound object in Flash..

i too am confused. maybe your computer is too slow and is just making up for that by skipping a few frames? If you embed a sound into flash and you want to sync it with many other things, (that is, if you have the sound in stream mode) then flash will try to keep up to every frame. If it for some reason loses its place, it will skip a few frames to get back to where it was, I have never had this problem but I hear it happens to people using 486 or lower. If you have a fast comp, I dont know wat to tell ya :)

Well i'm not too sure if the player itself chooses to skip a few frames, rather the system can't keep up so it freezes for a moment, and the player keeps going (in the background) and evetually your computer catches back up making it skip the frames it missed while being stuck at one spot.
