I have a TON of individual .swf's that I am pulling into a wrapper file one at a time. There is simple navigation (forward, back button). I use a .txt file to pull in the names of the files that will be paged through. The name of the .txt file is:

path.txt

Here is the script that is on frame 1:

Code: [ Select ]
path = "";
loadVariablesNum("path.txt", 0);
//this is just the first clip it needs to pull in
loadMovieNum("adv_gen_1_1.swf", 2);
  1. path = "";
  2. loadVariablesNum("path.txt", 0);
  3. //this is just the first clip it needs to pull in
  4. loadMovieNum("adv_gen_1_1.swf", 2);

The following script is placed on the Next button. This button pulls in the next .swf that is to be displayed:

Code: [ Select ]
on (release) {
arrayofstrings = path.split(";") ;
i++;
next = arrayofstrings;
back = arrayofstrings;
loadMovieNum(next, 2);
}
  1. on (release) {
  2. arrayofstrings = path.split(";") ;
  3. i++;
  4. next = arrayofstrings;
  5. back = arrayofstrings;
  6. loadMovieNum(next, 2);
  7. }

The path.txt file looks like this:

Code: [ Select ]
Path=
adv_gen_1_1.swf;
adv_gen_1_2.swf;
adv_gen_1_3.swf;
adv_gen_1_4.swf;
adv_gen_1_5.swf;
adv_gen_1_6.swf;
adv_gen_1_7.swf;
adv_gen_1_8.swf;
adv_gen_1_9.swf;
adv_gen_1_10.swf;
adv_gen_1_11.swf;
adv_gen_1_12.swf;
adv_gen_1_13.swf;
adv_gen_1_14.swf;
adv_gen_1_15.swf;
adv_gen_1_16.swf;
adv_gen_1_17.swf;
adv_gen_1_18.swf;
adv_gen_1_19.swf;
adv_gen_1_20.swf;
adv_gen_1_21.swf;
adv_gen_1_22.swf;
adv_gen_1_23.swf;
adv_gen_1_24.swf;
adv_gen_1_24B.swf;
adv_gen_1_25.swf;
adv_gen_1_26.swf;
end.swf;
  1. Path=
  2. adv_gen_1_1.swf;
  3. adv_gen_1_2.swf;
  4. adv_gen_1_3.swf;
  5. adv_gen_1_4.swf;
  6. adv_gen_1_5.swf;
  7. adv_gen_1_6.swf;
  8. adv_gen_1_7.swf;
  9. adv_gen_1_8.swf;
  10. adv_gen_1_9.swf;
  11. adv_gen_1_10.swf;
  12. adv_gen_1_11.swf;
  13. adv_gen_1_12.swf;
  14. adv_gen_1_13.swf;
  15. adv_gen_1_14.swf;
  16. adv_gen_1_15.swf;
  17. adv_gen_1_16.swf;
  18. adv_gen_1_17.swf;
  19. adv_gen_1_18.swf;
  20. adv_gen_1_19.swf;
  21. adv_gen_1_20.swf;
  22. adv_gen_1_21.swf;
  23. adv_gen_1_22.swf;
  24. adv_gen_1_23.swf;
  25. adv_gen_1_24.swf;
  26. adv_gen_1_24B.swf;
  27. adv_gen_1_25.swf;
  28. adv_gen_1_26.swf;
  29. end.swf;

Here is my question. I need to display the file name of each file being pulled in on the container file interface. Since all of these file names are in the array that is created when the split command is used, this should be as easy as getting what arrayofstrings is. For some reason this isn't working.

Any ideas on how I can get this?
