Post 3+ Months Ago

Hi guys, here is my question...

I have the main timeline. On frame one of the timeline is a movie clip, a text animation.

At my skill level right now, to get the next movie clip to play at the proper time, I have to make an addition 60 frames (which is the length of the text animation) on the main timeline, make a new keyframe, and insert the next movie clip. Then go through it all over again.

What I want to know is, what is the action I can insert on the last frame of the first embedded movie clip (frame 60) that tells the main timeline to gotoAndplay frame 2, which has the second movie clip?

Of course frame 1 of the main timeline would have a stop action to keep it from continuing until told to do so by the movie clip it holds.

Thanks guys, any help would be great!

If I understand you right, it should be
Code: [ Select ]
_parent.gotoAndPlay(2);

or ...
in the timeline, in first keyframe:
Code: [ Select ]
this.onEnterFrame = function()
{
  if (myTextAnimation._currentframe == 60)
 {
    delete this.onEnterFrame;
    this.gotoAndPlay(2);
 }
}
  1. this.onEnterFrame = function()
  2. {
  3.   if (myTextAnimation._currentframe == 60)
  4.  {
  5.     delete this.onEnterFrame;
  6.     this.gotoAndPlay(2);
  7.  }
  8. }
