Post 3+ Months Ago

I'm building a photo gallery on Flash CS5 using ActionScript 3.0. I have thumbnails as buttons and I've used code snippets to make them go to fame 'x' and play when clicked. Problem is: they don't :(

In "output" they register as clicked and strangely enough, there are no error messages, but the playhead doesn't go to the requested frame. It does nothing except go to the beginning of the movie and play till it encounters the 1st 'stop();' commande (at the end of the fade in of the 1st photo).

I've used motion tweens to fade in the photos. Here's a sample of the code that's not working:

ACTIONSCRIPT Code: [ Select ]
th4.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_MouseClickHandler_12);

function fl_MouseClickHandler_12(event:MouseEvent):void
{
   trace("Mouse clicked");
   gotoAndPlay(50);
}
  1. th4.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_MouseClickHandler_12);
  2.
  3. function fl_MouseClickHandler_12(event:MouseEvent):void
  4. {
  5.    trace("Mouse clicked");
  6.    gotoAndPlay(50);
  7. }
