upgrade flash player in communication server application

I build a flash communication server application and it works fine, but I need to upgrade my flash player from 6 to 8.
when I change my flash player to 8 in my .fla it doesn't work well any more.

can any one tell me how I can fix it, please?

There is many things that change (script-wise) from Flash 6 to Flash 8. Can you give us details of the code where you presume there could be problems? Maybe upload the file or link to it?

well, there was a little syntax error, but I corrected it but the problem is that my userColor and peopleList doesn't work well any more..

the peopleList shows lots of "undefined" depending on how tall it is(although it shows the online users) and the userColor doesn't change chat text..
