im not sure if this question has been asked before but i was wondering ...
what program would i use to create those cool video loops effects you see on most flash websites these days use in buttons for example ..
or like the ones they have up on flashloaded.com ..
if i had to guess i'd say after effects..

you must use a program like adobe photoshop or macromedia fireworks, then use the images you create there for your effects ie (2 pictures of an explosion on 2 layers, some alpha, you get the picture 8)

yes i even tried doing the alpha with the images before but it just didnt look the way i wanted ...

the one im talking about looks like a small video clip of for example clouds moving in one direction non-stop or smoke coming out of something ..

something like this ::

http://flashloaded.com/img-new/videoloo ... 100_wm.swf

or

http://flashloaded.com/videoloops.php

there's a few different ways you can do it. i figure the best would be to build your video loop in a video editing program and then use sorenson squeeze to convert it to a flash video (flv). macromedia also has some plug ins that work with stuff like after effects so you can export a video composition as a flv.

then you import the flv to the flash doc and set it up how you'd like.

hope that helps.

You could also make the effect in some program u prefer
convert it into png (frame by frame)
import it into a new movie clip, use alpha on a few frames,
and put some actions into the timeline.
In 5 min. time it looks like this
With a little extra "love" it will look smooth and okay.

Hope this helps

grtz.
