Well.... That really depends a lot on if the video is worth watching. Like everything you get what you pay for. If the video is professionally made and by someone who understands how to market effectively with video then it might be a decent conversion strategy. However, video for the sake of video especially if its low quality seems like a very sure way to drive traffic away from your site.
