"virtual chat room"

hello,

not sure if this is do-able in flash but i thought i would ask anyway. im looking to make a simple game with some pixel art graphics etc. where u can talk to people. so basically a "virtual chat room". i cna do the game bit and stuff the only thing im wondering is, is it possible to be able to send msgs too other people that are playing at the same time? any ideas would be greatly appriciated.

yes, it's possible, but for that you'll need a server.
