What do you prefer and why?

Flash MX
Flash MX 04

I have both and have heard complaints about 04. But, lets get your opinions...

I use MX, and am perfectly content with it. I have no desire to try MX 04, and here is part of the reasons why...

i started using MX2k4 a few days ago, and I used it a lot over
that time. I went back into MX yesterday and realized how
much I really like MX, and concluded that I don't need 2k4.

I'm always an early adopter of new flash versions and I've been using it for several months now. I was dissapointed with the quality of the initial release of this version. That being said, I still have both versions installed on my machine (they can be side by side). The first couple of weeks I kept going back to MX, and I'm still not willing to remove it yet, but I haven't used it for quite a while now. I've had 3 project compeletly done in MX2K4.

Some of the things that really dissapointed me:

The new help system is lacking, where previous versions were quite efficient.

They've released an "updater", but I don't see where anything substantial is being updated.

I don't like that they've split the product into Pro and not-so-Pro versions. (I assume that idea was from the marketoids)

but

I like what they did with the inteface, project management and some other bells and whistles.

my 2 cents.

I prefer MX all the way, its easy to cope with, great layout (IMO) and I dont want to waste more time learning changes in as 1.0 to as 2.0 no matter how subtle, the changes are inevitable. unhuh

I'm still with MX but i'm sure anything new will have it's bugs... In time I'm sure the program will offer better updates and I'll go buy it (maybe)

changing my opinion - I've been using it more and more, and it's
really good actually. I haven't had any of the problems I STILL
have with MX, so in my book it's starting be better for me.

but... a lot more testing to do first!

I have been using both versions, but when i got mx2k4 i have been using it all the time.
i haven't noticed any bugs, although removing some valuable components (scroll bar) from 2k4 was damn annoying, so i have to save an mx file with the scroller in it and open in 2k4 to get it to work.

but that is cus i am new to flash lol and i dont know and dont need to make my own scrollers yet ;)
