I hate adobe flash player, it doesn't work properly. and i cant find any way to download macromedia flash player, where did it go. If anyone knows of a mirror them please send me a link.

Edit:
The main problem is that many businesses rely on using flash, and they will go bust because the new flash player is so rubbish (and the developer suite might be too).

Macromedia has been bought out by Adobe. The last Flash Player made under the Macromedia Co. I believe was Flash Player 9. Google it, you should find it somewhere.

You might as well get used to it. Flash Pro 9 is already available to owners of Flash8 Pro or Studio 8. Eventially, you'll have to keep your Flash Player updated through Adobe updates, as Flash 9 includes Action Script 3 which is not supported in older players.

Right. As noted, Adobe bought Macromedia well over a year ago. So really you have no choice but to live with it.

on top of it all, it is just a new version of the same program.

Adobe Flash is no different from Macromedia flash. certainly, there has been some management turnover in the past year, but Macromedia's kept most of it's development team intact, so I don't think it would have been much different (aside from the logo) if Adobe had not bought Macromedia.

Flash Pro 8 is far superior to MX. And Flash Pro 9 promises to be even better.

Bozebo, exactly what kind of problems are you having with Flash Player and what version do you have installed?
